Cesar Suarez portrait

César Suarez is an award winning film/video game audio designer, composer & educator. He is known for his work on video game titles such as Healer (2025), Romancelvania (2023), The Rhythm of the Universe VR series: Ionia & Eolia (2020-2022), H3VR (2016), Underworld Ascendant (2018), Sol Contingency (2015) and works films such as The Harvest (2013), Vent (2015), The long Divide (2015), The Chain (2014), and Against the Jab (2014) among others.

The Ecuadorian born composer began his musical career in Miami, FL where he was raised from an early age. His musical roots lie in both latin and jazz styles as he played jazz guitar for his high school jazz band. Cesar attended Berklee College of Music in 2007 and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Film Scoring while minoring in Video Game Scoring. After graduating, he went on to score many local short films around New England and in 2014 he scored his first feature length film Against the Jab (2014) which featured actor Leon Robinson.

That same year, He fully dove into the world of game audio, and began his journey with an indie game title known as Sol Contingency as an Audio Lead. In 2016 he teamed up with composer Duncan Watt and Otherside Entertainment in their 2016 release of an official Google Daydream VR game called Underworld Overlord. He went on to join ROTU Entertainment in early 2016 as their Audio Director/Lead Sound Designer. After the release of ROTU Entertainments first VR title ROTU:Ionia™, Cesar was nominated for an award in Outstanding Sound Mix in Virtual Reality for the National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers in 2022. Cesar currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Games and Interactive Media Scoring program at Berklee College of Music..
